About the event
🤎 Join us for a magical evening of grounding + deep nourishment for your mind, body + soul. Through guided meditations, rituals + mindfulness practices, you will be led on a healing journey of self-reflection + conscious community connection. We will begin by sharing some facts about our ethical ceremonial cacao. As we drink our cacao together, we will share Mayan wisdom that has been passed down from our indigenous teachers. What follows always depends on the energy of the day and the specific group of people who have come together in circle… Join us and let’s see what kind of magic we will co-create! ✨🕯️✨
✨The mission of Rakas Kakaw Community Cacao Circles is to:
(1) share our appreciation for Mayan culture & ceremonial cacao;
(2) co-create heart-centered community rooted in respect for the earth & indigenous wisdom;
(3) nourish a culture of communal healing.
✨What is ceremonial cacao?
Ceremonial cacao is the whole food, relatively unprocessed product deriving from the Theobroma cacao tree, native to Central + South America. Theobroma means "food of the gods" in Latin, and cacao is an Olmec term meaning "bitter" and "water." This gentle & sacred heart-opening plant, which has been a central component in Mayan culture for thousands of years, is now hailed in the Western World as a "superfood" packed with nutrients that boost mood, ease stress + help fight disease. The ceremonial cacao we drink in our circles is a brew made of cacao mixed with water. In every Community Cacao Circle with Rakas Kakaw, we serve ethical single-ingredient 100% criollo ceremonial cacao sourced exclusively from indigenous Mayan-owned businesses in Guatemala.
✨Who’s Invited?
Everyone native to Planet Earth is warmly welcome in our inclusive community circles, regardless of race, religion, gender, sexuality, etc. If you are new to ceremonial cacao that’s not a problem. During these gatherings, nothing is forced or required other than showing up with an open heart. We follow strict safe space guidelines & ask that participants refrain from drug & alcohol use on the day of our circle.
✨ Tiered Pricing:
Normal 40€ 🤎 Reduced 30€ 🤎 Supporting 50€
During times of growing wealth inequality, tiered pricing intends to make healing spaces more inclusive by making participation more financially accessible for all. Those who are able to pay the supporting rate help enable those with lower income to participate. If the cost is the only reason keeping you from saying yes, email us info@rakaskakaw.com to describe your situation - additional discounts, exchanges, payment plans, or student/BIPOC scholarships can always be arranged.
✨Space is limited to maximize intimacy.
✨We need a minimum of 5 registered participants to hold a community circle.
🤎 This circle is taking place in a private location with limited space, so we are selling a very limited quantity of seats for this intimate circle experience. Book you seat in our circle today by purchasing your ticket here. ✨
